What it's about

Spoiler level: Minor — for the synopsis & review below

Freedom-loving duke's son Raven expects marriage to ruin his life—especially when the bride is Estrella Sharen, the empire's most feared villainess and the daughter of his family's rival. Her startling contract proposal draws him into an alliance in which both partners are concealing far more tenderness, danger, and history than society suspects.

Ch. 02 · Our verdict

My take

This is at its best when it lets Estrella be shamelessly direct and Raven be completely unequipped for her confidence. Their banter gives the contract-marriage setup real snap, while the polished full-color art makes every ballroom entrance land. The darker lore can arrive in uneven bursts, but the comedy, chemistry, and unusual male-lead perspective keep it extremely bingeable.

✓ Read it if…

The feared villainess is neither coy nor passive, the alleged playboy is the one constantly losing his composure, and their marriage develops through surprisingly honest attraction rather than endless denial. It balances laugh-out-loud flirting with enough family secrets and supernatural stakes to keep the romance moving.

! Skip it if…

The tone jumps between broad romantic comedy and heavy backstory, and some misunderstandings last longer than they need to. Readers looking for a calculating political villainess may also find Estrella much softer and more openly lovestruck than the title suggests.
