Ch. 01 · The story

What it's about

Spoiler level: No — for the synopsis & review below

Detective Ganghui meets Hajun, a famous designer who looks exactly like her late boyfriend Yujin and even wears a matching ring she recognizes. Hajun seems aware of why the resemblance disturbs her, yet refuses to explain it. Instead he presses for a relationship. Ganghui has to decide how much she can trust him while using her investigative instincts to uncover the connection between this stranger and the man she lost.

Ch. 02 · Our verdict

My take

The matching ring is a strong hook because it makes Hajun’s resemblance impossible for Ganghui to dismiss. Her detective’s instinct gives the romance an investigative thread, while the grief underneath makes every answer consequential. Hajun’s evasiveness drives suspense, though it can also make the courtship hard to embrace.

✓ Read it if…

Ganghui has a reason to look closely at every gesture and omission instead of accepting the uncanny coincidence. The mystery creates a steady question about whether opening her heart would help her heal or leave her more vulnerable.

! Skip it if…

Hajun’s refusal to explain himself while pursuing Ganghui may feel manipulative. Readers who prefer transparent love interests or dislike romantic plots built around a deceased partner’s lookalike may find the central tension uncomfortable.
