Ch. 01 · The story

What it's about

Spoiler level: Minor — for the synopsis & review below

Milady serves as a spy while loving her enemy, D'Artagnan, but his apparent rescue proves to be another scheme and she dies betrayed. Granted the power to return to her past, the notorious woman begins again with her memories intact, determined to avenge herself and overturn the fate written for her.

Ch. 02 · Our verdict

My take

Reframing a classic villainess as the owner of her own history gives the familiar revenge setup unusual literary bite. Milady's memories make apparent rescue a reason for suspicion rather than automatic relief. That distrust gives her second chance a distinct emotional edge, although the story's severe atmosphere leaves little room for easy attachment and asks readers to remain interested in motives that tenderness does not necessarily make trustworthy.

✓ Read it if…

It turns Milady's infamy into a weapon and lets a condemned woman narrate the revenge story history denied her.

! Skip it if…

The tone is bleak, the heroine is intentionally ruthless, and the romance is inseparable from manipulation and betrayal.
