Ch. 01 · The story

What it's about

Spoiler level: Minor — for the synopsis & review below

Lisa Cheon was once Korea’s beloved child star until scandal and addiction destroyed her career. Years later, a comeback opportunity forces her to confront the people, systems, and wounds that shaped her downfall.

Ch. 02 · Our verdict

My take

This is far more character drama than fluffy romance, with an unusually unsparing look at fame and self-sabotage. Lisa's comeback matters because returning to visibility also means facing habits and relationships that contributed to her collapse. The story gives her room to be abrasive without making her pain meaningless, although its refusal to make recovery attractive or orderly can feel exhausting if you want the redemption arc to offer steady reassurance.

✓ Read it if…

It gives a complicated heroine real agency and treats recovery as uneven work instead of a makeover montage.

! Skip it if…

The romance is secondary, and the addiction, exploitation, and toxic relationships make this considerably heavier than a standard celebrity rom-com.
