What it's about

Spoiler level: Minor — for the synopsis & review below

Sejun is an ordinary young man hoping to strike it rich when a mysterious dungeon tower appears, but he becomes stranded in a hidden area instead of joining the glamorous Hunter life. With only a few seeds and limited supplies, he starts farming to survive. His crops soon gain unusual properties, and a growing collection of rabbits, bears, merchants, and other creatures turns his isolated farm into a thriving community. Progress comes through cultivation, trading, quests, and clever problem-solving rather than traditional dungeon combat.

Ch. 02 · Our verdict

My take

The Top Dungeon Farmer succeeds by making farming progression feel as satisfying as leveling up through combat. Sejun's growing farm, absurdly cute companions, and increasingly valuable crops create an easygoing loop that is perfect for comfort reading. The artwork gives the animal characters enormous personality. Stakes do expand later, but readers wanting intense battles may find the deliberately cozy pace too gentle.

✓ Read it if…

Watching a tiny survival garden gradually become an economic and social hub is surprisingly addictive. Sejun's strength comes from persistence, food, trade, and relationships, while the furry companions keep even system-heavy chapters warm and playful.

! Skip it if…

Combat and romance are secondary to farming, crafting, trading, and cute companion scenes. The repetitive cycle of harvesting, upgrading, and meeting new creatures may feel too low-stakes for readers wanting constant action.
