What it's about

Spoiler level: Minor — for the synopsis & review below

Overworked and broke, 25-year-old Ji-eon accidentally ends up assisting top actor Doyun Nam and later discovers that a strange plush doll can make him obey her commands. What begins as payback against an infuriating celebrity turns into an increasingly complicated relationship where control, attraction, and genuine feelings become difficult to separate.

Ch. 02 · Our verdict

My take

This is at its best when it fully embraces the ridiculous setup, and XUANN gets a lot of mileage out of Doyun being a polished celebrity in public and a flustered disaster around Ji-eon. The romance turns much sweeter than the premise suggests, with real growth for both leads. The middle stretch wanders once the love triangle takes over, but it's still a very easy completed rom-com to binge.

✓ Read it if…

If you like watching an arrogant male lead get repeatedly humbled, this has that energy in abundance. The celebrity-versus-struggling-worker contrast creates constant friction, the magic doll keeps early chapters unpredictable, and the slow-burn payoff is full of teasing, jealousy, and genuinely funny reactions.

! Skip it if…

The love triangle becomes a major part of the story and can feel stretched, especially if you strongly prefer one lead. The magic doll fades in later stretches, and its power to override Doyun's actions raises body-autonomy and consent issues, even though it's mostly played for comedy.

How it uses its tropes

I find the doll more interesting as a shortcut to power than a shortcut to romance. Ji-eon starts out taking orders and criticism, so suddenly being able to command Doyun gives her frustration somewhere to go. For me, that makes the setup more pointed than simply putting a broke heroine beside a rich celebrity.
