What it's about

Spoiler level: Minor — for the synopsis & review below

A modern reader wakes as Latte Ectrie, an irrelevant side character in a romance novel dominated by the impossibly beautiful heroine Ibelin and three devoted male leads. Latte has no desire to steal the plot. She wants snacks, a good seat, and the chance to watch the drama unfold in person. Her commentary and attempts to profit from familiar modern ideas attract Arwin, the story's most dangerous magician. As the original romance begins behaving strangely, Latte's role changes from amused spectator to someone whose choices matter. She must decide whether remaining a side character is possible once a powerful man finds her more interesting than the script.

Ch. 02 · Our verdict

My take

Latte reacts to romance-novel absurdity like an enthusiastic reader rather than a polished heroine, and her popcorn obsession and money-making schemes give the parody its best laughs. YumYum's art switches smoothly between caricature and attractive romance scenes, while bored, powerful Arwin is fun precisely because he isn't standard hero material. The humor is repetitive and can swamp the plot. The main story is complete, with special episodes still coming out.

✓ Read it if…

Latte is an unusually comic isekai lead who wins through neither beauty, swords, nor court strategy. Her chemistry with Arwin comes from mutual entertainment, which gives the romance mischievous energy, and the story satirizes reverse-harem habits from the sidelines. It's louder and more self-aware than a typical villainess romance.

! Skip it if…

The comedy relies on exaggerated faces, running jokes, and secondhand embarrassment, which can wear thin in a long binge. Arwin is morally dangerous and sometimes controlling, even when it's played for laughs, and Ibelin's portrayal may feel unfair. The humor meanders more than the romance progresses.
